These apps make your Shopify store ready for Switzerland – 2024 update

To make your shop fully usable in Switzerland, we have put together a few useful apps for you.

Shopify is the best solution for getting started in e-commerce quickly and easily, and then scaling later too. Around 4,200 apps from countless creative software developers and vendors help with this as well. So your shop works properly in Switzerland, we have put together a few helpful apps for you.

Official Swiss Post App

As an alternative to the shipping label printer mentioned below, Swiss Post launched its own official app at the end of January 2021. Here, once an order comes in, you can print the barcode labels directly and automatically send the tracking code to the recipient. Plus point: you can also validate addresses and protect yourself better against fraudsters or misdeliveries. The whole thing starts at $5/month.

Shipping labels with Swiss Post Label Printer

Thanks to a direct connection to Swiss Post's web service, you can create and print shipping labels. Full automation makes daily work easier, and the tracking number is automatically in the system. I find this app much more convenient and better integrated into Shopify. It also supports letter labels as well as parcel labels, which is a major advantage if you can send certain products by post. Up to 5 parcels per month are free. After that it costs $5-20 per month, depending on volume.

Shopify Translate & Adapt

The days of annoying third-party apps like Langify or Weglot (via JavaScript) are over. Shopify now has a fully integrated solution in the back end. From product information to template text, everything can be translated for different languages and markets.

Twint for Shopify

If you only want to offer Twint, the Twint for Shopify app is enough. It can now also be integrated with PostFinance. These direct integrations have an advantage over Wallee (usually a bit of a bodge) or Payrexx: if the customer closes the window too early after paying, Payrexx does not send the order to Shopify as completed.
CHF 120 per year including hosting and support.

iQR Invoices

Swiss people love invoices and QR codes for payment. With iQR, I can not only generate a payment slip with QR code directly for Shopify invoices, but also reconcile customer payments on the bank account with Shopify via a CAMT file. A simple solution if you do not want to connect your Bexio or Xero accounting system to Shopify.

Warehouse and fulfilment not your thing? YellowCube

Swiss Post manages your warehouse, handles picking, sends everything out and manages returns, all at affordable prices. More information about the service is available from Swiss Post. Go straight to the Shopify app here. You can get started from around CHF 20 per month.

Of course, there are other favourite apps such as Seal Subscriptions, Avada Cookie Consent, SC Easy Redirect, Order Print Pro, Cowlender App, Shopwaive, etc., but they have nothing to do with this Swiss article. Just get in touch with us if you would like help with your Shopify challenges!
